New York. The Big Apple. The City That Never Sleeps.
It feels like I’ve been working my whole life to get myself
to here. And now I’ve finally made it.
Two months ago, I packed up my few earthly possessions and
hopped on a train. I was NY-bound. I was ready, but my wallet wasn’t. As much
as I love this city, it is so expensive.
Odd thing is, I’ve lived in some pretty interesting places
around the world: Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Johannesburg, San Francisco, Las
Vegas. And no-one has insisted on visiting. I move to NY and suddenly the
tweets and Facebook messages and emails and texts come streaming through –
friends and family want to book a stay.
Just wait until they see the size of the closet I call my
apartment!
